I'm pretty sure titanfall wasn't inspiration for this seeing as how there's already robots in TF2. In fact, the Heavy robot is exactly this big already.

But... Team Fortress 2 HAS giant robots. It's had 'em for about a whole year now.

to be fair, TF2's Mann vs Machine mode already has giant robots, you just... can't summon them or anything. They're just giant bad guys.
