For the people who want to backup locally, try a Ubiquiti system. They have several different cameras, have a dedicated NVR or use software to record, to your own storage. (which can be backed up offsite) Remote Viewing, Audio (IN/OUT), Motion-Sensing zone.

What program do you use for your screencasts?

All you have to do is come to gizmodo and click the itunes link, worked for me :)
