This show is a freaking masterclass in pacing and building tension. I keep getting caught up in each scene so much that I forget that many of them are flashbacks/memories until David and the others appear. Part of it is the score; they accomplish this radical tonal shifts with little more than a change in music

I love how they don't even show the object in the flashback, just to underscore how inconsequential the mission was.

"I seem to go through men like paper towels."

Oh man, this episode was everything I needed after the gut punch that was last week. Zen Raf, Momtrepreneur Petra, Supermom Jane? All of the developments in the three-year jump felt so organic and a natural evolution of how the characters were going. And the small things, like Jane still having Michael's cat, were

Oh crap, I don't know how I didn't realize it earlier. In the comics, David absorbs personalities from nearby people, particularly those that die in his presence. I wouldn't be surprised if that's what happened to Lenny, and the same for those other random people he saw.

Basically, in the comics, Legion's name comes from the fact that he's got hundreds of individual powers, but they're each controlled by a separate personality. He absorbs powers and personalities from other people, which further splinters his core personality's control.

Knowing David and Legion's backstory, I wouldn't be surprised if that was the way David's perceiving the world. All the weird little oddities and contradictions in the background of the show are probably caused by his fractured personalities.

Holy shit, that… the best word I can use to describe it is "captivating". I was glued to the screen for the entire time; it was just so distinctive in its atmosphere, filming, and plot. The scene with Sydney/David and Kissinger exploring the hospital was fantastic.

*smash cut to Mick eating deserts*

Are you kidding me? B-?

Dang, between this and Legends, I was alternatively grinning my ass off and on the edge of my seat for the last few hours. Fantastic effects, and excellent directing; the visual aesthetic of this show has come an incredible way since its first season.

Man, my prayers have been answered. All hail the return of DadCop!

Oh god, Rogelio. I forgot about the Brogelios.

"Everyone stay calm. I've dealt with a drunk belligerent teenager. So she won't get far."
"How do you know?"
*ding*
"Now all we need to do is trap her."

"Owww, whyyy? .. was I on the ceiling?"
"Have I mentioned how much I love my new gun?"

I don't know, man. I'm a young white male, and I don't recall the ACLU doing jack shit for the civil liberties of people like just me.

Watch out, Trunp might try to take it out for you.

I'm so sick of people saying that entertainment is "oversaturated" with comic book material. So, the overwhelming number of cookie-cutter detective and comedy shows/movies is what, a natural number?

"I hate when he does that."

All hail the Beanie!
