There are two different motivations. At one point we are told the two houses have always been enemies, which is why Harkkonen wants to destroy Atreides. Over an hour later we are told that the Emperor got involved because Atreides was too popular. Both remarks are made almost in passing.

They *are* explicit though. It’s spoken out loud in part 1 by Baron Harkonnen to his nephew that Atreides could take down the Emperor if they wanted to. The Emperor knew this and made a move that would cause the Harkkonens, mortal enemies to House Atreides, to attack and wipe out their house.

I actually prefer MS’ approach. I don’t need every game to be a AAA open-world action/adventure game. I like variety and MS has offered plenty of that. Give me more Pentiments, Flight Simulators, Ages of Empire, etc.

This is really baffling to me. I own both and I can tell you the Xbox experience is just better (aside from storage options) and gamepass is an incredible value especially when compared to PS+. I only use PS5 for exclusives, which there have been VERY few of this generation. I dont get it.
