I guarantee some streamer is on Twitch right now saying these exact same things without being hit with a ban.

I checked this out briefly last night and it said something like “Making sense mode: off.” I wonder if that means they’d switched to the less reliable model? Because a lot of what it was spouting out was gibberish.

It’s not much of mystery. After too many high budget studio film debacles, ending with After Earth, studios stopped giving him gobs of money to produce box office bombs. So he shifted to much lower budget self financed movies where there’s almost no risk for any studio or distributor to pick it up, as it’s near…

What’s not mentioned is that after his blockbusters, he financed a lot of his films. He cleared 60 million on Split. Dude is loaded. Studios came running back, too.

We watched it in 9th grade too.  Such a bizarre choice.

Came here to post this!  It was 9th grade for me and I could not believe my otherwise competent teacher was showing us this movie.  She warned us about the scene but we just watched it right on VHS tape.  Wild.

I think my eighth grade class watched this... in film strip format. So there was definitely some toplessness going on and well-place hair/hands if I recall. Even as a 13 year old, i recall thinking “why the f are they showing us this in school?”

Well, this sucks. I didn’t really like any of the movies he was in (some were downright terrible), but he was never the problem. I always held out hope that they’d make a movie that was worthy of him.

I’m genuinely sad that Cavill is done.

Which is made worse because Ma and Pa Kent were really perfectly cast in that movie.

I can forgive a good bit about Man of Steel, but that really was the worst take on Jonathan Kent ever.

In theory, they have to be paying some kind of residuals to actors, writers, directors, etc. But I can’t imagine its really that onerous of a cost.

I just don’t think the guy has any idea what he’s doing.

No matter your personal feelings about the man, let’s be civilized and wish him a speedy recovery through this traumatic event. I wish him the best and hope he is able to fully recover and return to take the Tonight Show crown a third time.

I hope he still gets to make his trilogy, and I’m saying that as someone who wasn’t a huge fan of TLJ.

I didn’t like The Last Jedi (stay with me for just a moment) because I didn’t like Rian’s directorial approach of changing everything simply for the sake of changing it.  You don’t do that in the middle of a story.  HOWEVER, I was looking forward to seeing what he would do when he had control over an entire trilogy. …

If this did happen , either set in in the far past or far future of the Star Wars universe, the problems I have with TLJ were mostly down to it derailing the story the trilogy seemed to be trying to tell . If he has his own sandbox to play in , he can really let loose.
