Cool. Never cared for DaBaby’s music, and have been suspicious of him since that video where he’s on a plane making fun of a flight attendant’s appearance.

Thanks for that delightful DuckTales Comic-Con vid. Laughed at Brewster saying “There’s no evolutionary trail for the octopus whatsoever!” I don’t know much of her work, but it appears her sparkling comic personality was wasted on a grim show about serial killers. Hope she does more comedies.
Hopefully she’ll find something equally high-profile. They didn’t do nearly enough with her in Community.
Grierson’s thread with someone I've never heard of is pretty flippant, too, so I admire Ayer coming right over the top rope with this. I'm sure his version would have been better than what came out. I probably wouldn't have liked it regardless.

It’s weird how both female-led MCU films are flashback movies taking place in the past.
If they ever have a Series Finale, would it be the most-watched event in TV history?
Classic Looney Tunes lasted 40 years. And without looking it up, I’m pretty sure they made it past 1000 shorts. I don’t really have a point to bringing this up, but your first sentence made me think of it.
I will repeat, as I often must, that people who are dismissive of the recent seasons aren’t paying attention. Every season has multiple strong episodes. Has it lost a step? Sure, because it’s not 1994 anymore—4 of the first 5 episodes of Season 5 would be the best episode of any other animated program (and the fifth…
Man, the TV landscape is so weird now. Thanks to contract renewals and what not, The Simpsons has got to be more expensive to produce than ever before and it gets a fraction of the ratings it used, yet its still profitable enough to keep dragging along. The highest rated episode ever was seen by 33 million people, and…
Yet another shrug-inducing choice they made instead of just putting the show out of its now several decades spanning misery.

Come on now, no need to diss possums like that.
As long as it’s playful.
I, too, am being playful when I call him a possumheaded racist dipshit asshole.
There is something to be said for that yes, but as the kids pointed out. The story wasn’t really about the mother at all, it was about “Aunt Robin”.
I feel like the show’s longevity really worked against it. If this had been the ending of the show after season 3, it would make sense. But after 8 years of Robin stories, it just didn’t make sense for him not to end up with her. Ted’s kids were right to point out that their mom is barely in the story. And there’s…
Yeah, I’m glad this alternate ending exists, because I THOUGHT it was the ending I wanted, but seeing it made me realize that the original ending actually made more sense. Given how long the show lasted and how much of it was about Robin, there really wasn’t any other way to go, and it made sense within the 8 years…
I don’t know; I thought there was real poignancy in the idea of a guy telling his kids this incredibly long and detailed story about their deceased mother as a way to work up his own courage to ask them if they were okay with him dating again (and them readily agreeing). I do like this alternate ending, though.
Greta Gerwig typing up a long letter to her daughter Cricket 100% checks out.
