2007 was such a disappointing year for blockbusters. pirates 3, spider-man 3, ghost rider, fantastic four: rise of the silver surfer, die hard 4, transformers, alien vs predator: requiem (it’s funny to look back and see it was still all dominated with comic book movies, even back then)

It is truly insane how many major sports stories plus a goddamn impeachment trial happened and G/O Media had no sports or politics sites to garner those sweet, sweet clicks. 

If only G/O Media had a sports site to cover this.

I remember hearing the initial news that was being removed and figured there’d be another shoe to drop but didn’t expect this. Yikes.

It was fun laughing about this until it struck me that there are literally tens of millions of people for whom this is some real, no-bullshit, truth bomb cinema, then I just got sad. 

Between this and the transphobia, can we finally accept that however cool Dave Chappelle might have been once, he’s pretty much a terrible person now?

I’m somewhat disappointed in Hasan (but still support him), bc he could easily avoided this drama by being less outrageous in his wording by rather saying that the responsibility for 9/11 was largely a function of US imperialism in the Middle East, which lead to the creation and objectives of Al Qaida.

Everyone really needs to watch more Satoshi Kon. Incredible filmmaker.
