I would also add to take your newly purchased guitar to a tech to have it “set up.” Action, intonation, and overall care for the guitar can make or break it, and a good tech can make a $400 guitar feel and sound like a $1500 guitar. Places like guitar center may be able to set your guitar up for free.

Although I agree with you on the BS artists...Tim Tebows foundation granted my church $8500 to put on a prom for special needs students. They have a handbook they provide that is really phenomenal. He may be kinda annoying, but I wouldn’t put him in the Osteen category.
