I don’t hate the character himself, but he does feel like kind of a somewhat weak way to deepen the world’s lore. One particular moment I enjoyed was going through the mythril mines and Barret is providing most of the commentary during the early parts of it from his experience as a miner himself. I’d have loved more…

I usually skip his interaction at the end of an event. It’s usually never helpful and he just repeats the actions I just performed. 

Chadley is an example of something that was kind of interesting in Remake and utterly beaten to death in Rebirth. I will never understand Japanese studios’ obsession with fan service to the extent that anything anybody liked even a little bit has to be blown up into theme park attraction levels of absurdity.

Nah, you can’t improve upon perfection. A remaster to refresh it for modern consoles, sure; but I'd rather see a new game in the franchise (which I know is not coming, but still).

Chrono Trigger’s simplicity was one of the reasons I was so into it as a kid. It was easy to understand and play. You start getting complex in that series and you get chrono cross, and that was kind of a mess mechanically.
