The price of containers overseas is skyrocketing because everything is stuck here. To the point where they’ve stepped up container production to cash in. There’s money to be made getting them back overseas, until the whole thing crashes because of a global glut of containers.

This. As much as I wanted every one of my Soldiers to get their CDLs on the Army’s dime so they could could have actual skills to use in their civilian lives, I just couldn’t get the Army to pay for it.

they also have bullshit like not getting paid while waiting for hours in line to pick up a load at both those damn ports in california. all those infrastructure bills a certain group keeps shooting down have money to update our ports so theyre not damn near last in efficiency in the world.

The problem with trucking is twofold:

If trucking companies paid more, we’d have more drivers signing up. Having the government do it is not a solution, just a waste of tax payer dollars. 

This is not a wise decision. It isn’t a good idea to mobilize a bunch of 88M’s who often do not have CDL’s because their civilian job has nothing to do with trucking to move massive amounts of civilian freight.
