My nomination for most tragic character is Qrow from RWBY, although RWBY doesn't technically air on TV, so I'm not sure if he counts. If we're only counting TV Shows, my money's on Stan from Gravity Falls, and if we're counting everything including video games, then Sans from Undertale.
