Raspberry Pi is geared towards Python and you are also steered into programming locally on the Linux/Ubuntu environment.
Of course, but just using the web and some basic compilers or interpreters are all you need to get started. Check out codecademy.com for some basics and go do it!

Wow. I'm on the opposite end of everyone who has shared thus far—I drink about 6-8 cups a day. It doesn't really give me a jolt anymore, I can drink a cup and go directly to bed.
