That’s Alien canon. The emerging creature takes some sort of form and function of it’s host :) In the original novelization of Alien3: Series Killer (sorry, I LOATHE this movie, don’t ask me why I read the damned book, too) it hatched from a slaughtered bull or something, I don’t really remember but it had horns :(

Personally, I think this is the first truly terrifying “zombie” apocalypse show because it seems like this is the way it happens. Someone did their science homework. And based on the general behavior of A LOT of people during the initial stages of Covid, we’d be kinda fucked.

After SGU was cancelled, I went back and watched Atlantis (aside from the Stargate theatrical movie, I’d never seen any of the shows). Loved it, but the ending felt cut off prematurely...

Can’t wait for this season. Gotta say, in all of these zombie shows, my favorite parts (i.e. the parts that truly scare me) are the times right before it all goes to shit, when “normalcy” is slipping away and most everyone has no idea until it’s too late. There was a time, not so long ago, when our DVR was 99% CW shows. But man, oh, man. 23-24 HOUR long episode seasons is not something I can commit to anymore. Viva la 10 episode seasons!
