I’ve actually seen this before, during one previous October dry-run of horror movies. While some parts were definitely watched from behind criss-crossed fingers, the ending elicited the response of “huh.”

Good. It doesn’t need to be remade. The future / (now) retro ascetic works to make it even more bonkers and alien feeling. I don’t need a slick redo with an unnecessary back story for the characters tacked on.
