In English, Barret says he got an artificial arm. In Japanese, he says no such thing. I investigated a little bit and tried to explain why it might have gotten translated that way. I think the video is pretty good and if you wanna watch it that’s cool. If you don’t, oh well!

My PoV on your PoV is that you need to learn what clickbait actually is.

I would love to get into Persona 5, though I’m afraid that series would never end. Here’s a playlist of stream archives of me playing the first 20 hours or so of the game with the Japanese voiceover on (I remark quite a bit on the subtitles, which is what gave me the idea to do this particular series . . .) !!

Kotaku (and Tim specifically) puts lots of time and research into these videos, which I think are very well made and worth the time to watch. The video is the entire point of this article, not a quick summary - adding a short summary would remove the nuance of the language differences, and anything longer would just

Hmm, I’m not going to comment on the rest of your post because the internet has a tendency to take almost any comment about anything out of context, though I want to point out that Kotaku does not ever use the phrase “You Won’t Believe” in headlines. You might be thinking of a bunch of other websites.

“It’s almost as if someone didn’t watch any of the videos, made assumptions about the content of the series based purely on the most superficial of contexts, and then decided “Hey!””

...do you not know what “video content” is?

Hmm, yeah, I covered that in a previous episode of this series. It was a line that a lot of people had asked me to cover, so I covered it. My coverage of it was essentially“Yes, it’s a typo; who cares.” I think you may misunderstand the nature of this series. :-(

The songs in this series are very strong and emotionally charged. I’ve always loved the series since my introduction with FF7 in 5th grade for me. Me and my childhood best friend rented the game and named Cloud and Barret after us in the game. It just felt so epic and way cooler than anything else out there.

Shit opinion, my dude. VERY shit opinion.
3 is almost universally regarded as the worst one, with 2 being the best.

Everything about DKC 3 feels like a rush job, it has some neat things like being able to navigate parts of the overworld without being tied to paths, but Kiddy kong isn’t great, he’s not Donkey Kong, and he’s slow.

Diddy Kong is playable.

It was good but DKC2 is the pinnacle

I have tried Rivals of Aether and enjoy it a lot!

Thank all that is holy in gaming that PUBG didn’t win Game of the Year. When you’re announcing your second map, no matter how big that map is, for your early access title... I don’t care how popular, you deserve no awards yet.

Zero Dawn didn’t do anything special it was just another open world game.

Shhhhhhh

Kind of throwing the baby out with the bathwater, no?

I’m not into esports myself, but seeing Deadspin commenters getting triggered by the mere presence of esports articles has become one of my favorite things on the site.
