I don’t like fan service, especially when it detracts from the story, however I do find fan service funny when that is essentially the big joke of the show, a self-parody sort of. A good example (maybe my only example?) is Punch Line. I thought a lot of that show was goddamn funny.

If you just said that VGX was fine (2013 with Geoff and Joel)... then I’m sorry but you’re insane. That entire show was cringe, literally everything about it was horrible.

It’s not publishers in the sense of Square, Rockstar, etc. It’s publications, like Kotaku.

This is the awards show that most people look to for the “real” GOTY winner, etc. so yes, this is the one people care about. Golden Joysticks are fine and dandy but this has inherited its importance from the VGAs before it tanked.

I played enough of the beta to have my enjoyment with it. I’ve not once felt the desire to purchase it since. Without the beta, I’d have bought it immediately.
