I think if you’re looking for a misdirect the only real possibility is the suit itself is a misdirect and it’s something she’s made herself....with the “real” new suit being something she obtains from Bast later in the film.

I’m an American and I can tell you I’ve never been invited to a party where people were dressed this way.  My impression is that the people who buy these use them in bars or clubs when a Halloween theme party is happening.  Or they’re used for private “play” wink wink nudge nudge.

I think this show wants to be The Tick as done by Tina Fey. I can kinda see it. They should green light a season 2 and pay Tina Fey whatever she wants to co-produce and write three episodes. Don’t fire the current showrunner, though. She’s learning invaluable trial-by-fire shit.

I would not be surprised at all if Todd and Arthur were somehow in cahoots with the Wrecking Crew and whoever is pulling their strings. It’s an episode of the show, Jen has a case, tries something in her personal life, and they eventually converge in the resolution. Expecting every episode to be have sort of bombshell…
