My grandpa had two of these, a silver-over-red ‘83 and a blue-over-blue ‘90, I loved those cars as a kid! I got to pretend drive the 1983 in Marquette Park after we went fishing, and we took the brand-new 1990 down to Disney World, with the damn bugnet needing to be fixed 3x a day.

Could you swap to a lit needle, or install a single LED to light the stock one? Most needles glow by being lit from below. Great upgrade and work overall, that’s a huge difference, but its still weird the needle isn’t lit.
