I get why they did it with the Veloster, that is their “youthful styling hatch,” but an i30 (Elantra) would be closer to the GTI and more practical; I feel like it will lose sales because a lot of people (who can afford this *cough*) won’t want a dinky lifestyle hatch.

Is most likely both, we finally get an MR Corvette which has been teased since the 1950s, Cadillac gets its own halo on the platform, and they’ll probably revise the C7 to keep the traditional approach going.
