YOU ARE TEARING ME APART, ACURA!

The Deltawing is maybe the ugliest racecar I’ve ever seen. It’s hard to believe it wasn’t designed by an American company.

Nope, you’re right on the money. I appreciate their can-do attitude, but a bad idea with gumption is still a bad idea.

Am I the only one who thinks the DeltaWing is totally stupid? It was a stupid ugly unreliable race car to begin with, and now they’re trying to make it into a stupid ugly road car. Just let it die a peaceful death already...

So when braking and downshifting you just jam the gearstick into the lower gear and let the engine deal with it? That doesn't seem very mechanically sympathetic.

I’m not sure you know what heel-and-toe is. It certainly has nothing to do with the syncros. It’s working the brake and the throttle simultaneously with your right foot, so that the throttle can be blipped for downshifts while you’re also braking.

Synchronized gears alleviate the need for double clutching, true... but failing to rev match downshifts results in additional clutch wear and driveline shock by having to absorb for the mismatched speed differential. Heel& toe is the proper way to rev match a downshift while braking and can be a quite useful technique

A big one with a manual: don’t downshift and let the car lurch when you let out the clutch. Blip the throttle with downshifts, and then learn heel-toe downshifts.

I believe the racing series you are looking for is Pirelli World Challenge.

No. Please do not. These purpose built cars are 10000x safer and I do not want to go back to losing drivers. NO. A million times no.

Then the cop should turn on his lights.

That’s what the siren and lights are for, brah

or that you have better things to do with the money. Specially when you pick up a Ferrari as a replacement and still pay the Porsche note.

Counterpoint: you run the risk of the valet burning the hell out of your clutch in addition to all the other valet risks.

“Since then, it’s just been circles and circles of hell. The hotel lawyer told DiMarco that the hotel isn’t liable for the theft because he didn’t park the car with the hotel. The value service’s insurance company denied the claim because the property damage policy doesn’t include theft. (Which, shouldn’t it? People
