@Wittyname: Sorry to bring this up, but I've been using the great advantages of scalar graphics since before Visio was bought by Microsoft... so over 10 years ago... but the current applications, that - that's the future as well, indeed.

@Wittyname: Vector graphics allow for indefinite scaling, that is the key advantage. Looks good small, looks good huge. Check vector vs bitmap graphics, and you'll get the point.
