For me it’s the extra towing capacity. 7000lbs vs 5000lbs. You’re right it’s not a sports car. But I do use it to haul my car to the track.

I don’t “absolutely” need it. But trailer with my car and tools and spare parts is right around 5000lbs.

I’m mostly just bitter that the new 4Runners don’t have a V8 option. I guess I’ll just keep my ‘08 V8 sport forever.
