As difficult as this is, every player Maryland recruits going forward (and, perhaps more importantly, their parents) must see these videos. They must know how little this program cares about them. And they must know where DJ Durkin is now.

As a Pistons fan, I was most surprised that Blake chose to be defensive for once.

When I was a caddy, one of the other caddys shit himself on the couch, left a big stain. Everyone called him “the saucer” from that day on. The caddymaster just flipped the cushion. This feels like they’re just flipping the cushion. Yeah, it looks alright now, but everyone knows what’s underneath.

The answer to “what would you rather have happen” is “not let this shit happen in the first place.” You don’t get a pat on the back for hiring a qualified cleaning company to pick up after the shit you took on the couch. Don’t shit on the couch.

women are far more likely to ascend to upper management when an organization is in crisis, when the risk of real or perceived failure is much higher”

I feel like this article was more of a (deserved) pile-on for the Mavs’ organizational rot—and that of many other companies—and not necessarily a critique of Marshall’s hiring. (Though, it feels oddly framed to that effect...)

Penguins fans have got to be the most insufferable in the NHL, It’s the little town syndrome where they obsess over every detail and call for Wilson either to be banned from the game, arrested or outright call for bodily harm on him. And their obsession over Ovechkin is just a little pathetic, and they get help from

There is part of me that was dying to ask “What would you prefer to happen” but the good side prevailed. Frankly, anyone that comes here looking for justification for your not knowing how to feel about this, is most likely a Mavs fan or mentally ill; tho the Venn diagram between those two is just a circle.

IIRC opiates as well. And his use of them is intertwined with his mental health issues. It’s a fair point to ask which drives the other, and my words in my first post were careless in not making it clear that his mental health is the driving force here.

You can have an addiction to anything so yes, addiction to marijuana.

I think the fact that the league continues to strip this man of his earning power over weed is the bigger scandal. He’s being used as an example and he deserves support from them instead of repeated suspensions that keep him from earning a living.

Addiction is such a terrible demon to battle. Mental health issues, the same. To hell with the football games, I hope that Josh gets his life and his mental health straightened out soon. I feel for him.

Sausage gravy is my love language.

Sausage gravy like this is how I got my wife to fall in love with me. I use a bit less flour and milk, for a higher sausage-to-gravy ratio, and I add a bit of pepper to it, but that’s all a matter of personal taste.

I dunno. Have you been very, very good this year? (Also, I blame Kinja for double comments, and most other things.)

I’m not saying that building codes in the South are lax, but... I used to live in a house in Alabama which had an old tree stump supporting one corner of the front porch.

The realistic solution is what I did when I was still working in the biz:

You’re a monster.

Keep kids at least 3 feet from the stove while you’re cooking.
