Aaron, my father actually owned a race track north of Flint in the 1950's. They passed out Coca-Cola during" halftime". That's where my racing and car roots come from. Uncle Ralph Ziel from Cadillac was a politician for a while. Grew up in Fenton/Linden. Now, I'm a famous Internet celebrity. Whoo Hooo!!!

I guess it's back to "business as usual."

He was obviously doing his shift delivering at the time...

I'm waiting for someone to challenge Stephen Hawking.

Awesome, Matt. Thanks for your help. I guess I'll have to get to work now.

Absolutely, utterly insane driving.

Matt, I'm a US citizen, but, only a (very) part-time resident now. I've got an interesting proposal for the film contest I'm working on that includes short interviews with former GT and NASCAR drivers, but, before I put out the resources to arrange what I have in mind, I need a little clarification on Gawker's

I'm seeing them all over in the Hessen and Baden-Wurttemberg areas as well. There is one in particular I've seen a few times around Frankfurt, also a '69T, that is an absolutely stunning automobile.

Agreed on point #2.

Agreed. I liven in Sachsehausen and when you get out of Stau around Frankfurt and south of Darmstadt on the unrestricted sections of the Autobahn, it is the slow cars merging left in front of faster cars that cause the majority of accidents.

Beautiful.

I love to do long road trips. One of my favorites was a solo trip from Pinehurst, NC to Happy Valley-Goose Bay, Newfoundlnad via Sault Saint Marie in the UP of Michigan. Spent three weeks doing almost 7,500 miles in the GMC Yukon and camping along most of the way.

You can sit in the apex of that exact same corner and watch wrecks like that almost all day long. The last time I was there we saw at least 6 wrecks, perhaps 10 minor "barrier bumps", and about 50 spinouts. There was a crowd of Australians that even had scorecards they would hold up.

It is dark green. And it is stoopid fast.

Purrrrrr.

Ich ritt mit Sabine im letzten Jahr.

But, you're still driving a Kia.

I can attest to how good the transport system is in Frankfurt. I know it sounds like sacrilege, especially at Jalopnik, but it truly is a city where a car is totally unnecessary. I can be almost anywhere in the city within 20 minutes for under 5 Euro.

Have you ever experienced a Renault Twingo?

Is that "Magnetic Beard Man" in the middle?
