So many comments with no understanding of what the CAS mission actually entails, and mountains of anec-data on how effective a 30mm cannon is vs. a precision guided munition, or how tough the A-10 is against anyone shooting at it.

They don’t need one platform to do this. They have multiple that can perform these missions already. Attack helicopters and F-16s/F-35s are fine.
Well they certainly didn’t lose 250 million. That might be the street value, but you have to get it to the street before it’s actually worth street value. I don’t know what it would have fetched from the next tier of distributors it would have sold to once in the US, but it’s going to be a hell of a less. And it costs…
You’re hammered and you’re using ramen and pizza as ingredients? Just eat the freaking ramen and pizza.
I’m not that upset with WVR performance. Are you? Are you really? I was never under the illusion that would be capable of fighting and winning in a phone booth with a MiG-35. I was under the impression that it would accel at BVR, all forms of tactical strike, and be capable of defending itself it got jumped in a WVR…
We here in the USA carry the cost of 37% of the world’s total military spending. That’s not enough? Jesus H. Christ on a crutch. Eisenhower was right.
My first thoughts:
How dare you question why the Navy’s Army needs its own Air Force.
I am surprised at how many people seem to think this was an “unnecessary” and gratuitous scene. It absolutely advanced both the plot and the character development.
I thought that Sansa looked in control when she brushed off the maid. Then she willed herself for the wedding, brushed off Theon and seemed ready. She even went through with the wedding, even after I thought that she might say no. Then Ramsay wants to consummate the marriage, which she slowly gets ready for, until he…
I’m sort of amazed that people seem surprised he raped her. Once she agreed to marry him, we all knew (or should have) that he’d either rape her or something dramatic would happen to forestall the wedding. There were no other narrative options. And they telegraphed that the marriage was happening when she said goodbye…
Let’s pump the brakes here.
Except this rape wasn’t the kind of trope rape that usually gets used to jumpstart a character arc. Ramsay and Sansa are *supposed* to have sex to consummate the marriage. Yes it was unpleasant. Yes Tyrion declined to do so. But according to the custom of Westeros nothing untoward happened in that marriage bed. If…
This argument about landfill is completely ludicrous. Every single coffee pod is crushed to an incredibly small space (it's mostly air) and the entire world's use of coffee pods for a century could likely be stored in a backyard the size of a small Tokyo pod apartment. It is expensive but it's convenient. I used to…
The parts of your write-up makes it sound like, they are trying to stop piracy in general. Which is different from what they are actually trying to do: stop their crap from leaking a month in advance. So, yea, of course, it won’t stop piracy. They clearly weren’t trying to.
I’ve audited PPVs in the past, it is a tough gig but very lucrative, 5 years ago it was $1000 per place you caught, plus a $500 bonus if they were charging a cover and you could document it. Bar owners would bring in a residential sat tv box and order the PPV. Best night I had was 3 during one fight.
From my experience, every company that does this will not hire you.
They’re not Moscow, but a lot of them are better than the dingy subway stations in other US cities.
The insides of some of the Metro stations in Washington DC are stunning.
Then you have to undo your belt. That's why there is a zip fly. Speed.
