Android never had the bounce after scrolling down the end of a list because it is patented by Apple. Samsung implemented it in its phones anyways which Apple is forcing them to change in courts.

I am against the patent wars, but I agree on Apple on this point. Samsung does blatantly copy Apple's designs more than any other tablet manufacturer. Other manufacturers are able to make quality tablets that are easily distinguishable from an iPad.

If I was going to root, I would pay the extra $50 for the Nook. The extra RAM and disk space will be needed more when using Android 4.0.

All it would take was for Steve Jobs to say that 288ppi is still a retina display and people would accept it. It is still indiscernible from print, so it meets the definition.

You can use the same artwork as you use with other tablets. Worst case you scale up the artwork from phones. I develop live wallpapers for Android devices and design it to scale to every resolution. It can be done.

Fragmentation isn't getting worst over time. Of course it is easier to develop for a single device, but once you design an app to scale to the majority of Android devices, you don't have to do extra work to accommodate new phones.

Fragmentation isn't as big of a deal as people make it out to be. It isn't that hard to make an app that will run on the majority of devices.
