Unless they are system apps, then the pure Google experience isn't ruined. It is just the pure Android 4.0 OS with two apps installed on it. Uninstall them and you can enjoy your pristine OS.

I am against the patent wars, but I agree on Apple on this point. Samsung does blatantly copy Apple's designs more than any other tablet manufacturer. Other manufacturers are able to make quality tablets that are easily distinguishable from an iPad.

If I was going to root, I would pay the extra $50 for the Nook. The extra RAM and disk space will be needed more when using Android 4.0.

All it would take was for Steve Jobs to say that 288ppi is still a retina display and people would accept it. It is still indiscernible from print, so it meets the definition.

The iPad is the gold standard for tablets. Everything is going to be compared to the iPad until its competitors are able to match its quality.

Only if Apple gets caught up in its own hype and marketing. Apple would be the only company that worries about maxing ppi over everything else.

It means that Amazon won't do anything stupid and mess it up.

If the developer doesn't make their app compatible with the Fire, then it won't be available for it.

You must have not been to a developing country. American roads are like floating on a cloud compared to the pothole infested POS that other countries have.

The author must have never been to a developing country. I've seen some roads that have more potholes than actual pavement.

If you can't connect to a private wifi, you use the 3G connection as a back up. If you are planning on doing a tasks that requires lots of data, you should take the extra effort to accept the terms of the wifi hotspot.

If Amazon ships 5 million tablets and there is money to be made, it will be enticing to developers.

You can use the same artwork as you use with other tablets. Worst case you scale up the artwork from phones. I develop live wallpapers for Android devices and design it to scale to every resolution. It can be done.

Fragmentation isn't getting worst over time. Of course it is easier to develop for a single device, but once you design an app to scale to the majority of Android devices, you don't have to do extra work to accommodate new phones.

Fragmentation isn't as big of a deal as people make it out to be. It isn't that hard to make an app that will run on the majority of devices.

Tell your parents that it is a super Kindle and not a water downed iPad.

The Amazon Kindle has high brand value, especially compared to any other Android tablet.

First Android phone that can compete with the iPhone in design.

All you have to do is have a commercial calling it the new RAZR, and everyone will know what it is and the design backs it up. It has the same lines, thinness and sleek looks, and stands out from the Android pack of plastic devices, just like the original RAZR.

Sexy phone. The RAZR looks like the first Android phone that can compete with the iPhone 4 in trendy design and branding.
