Lemme know when you start mocking Jews, Muslims, and other Christians for their religious garb; it's a good look for you

how dare you, I live on the top floor

Your entire online persona: some person with too much time on their hands and who craves attention while offering up little to nothing of substance

Mmmmm I love a shitty condescending response

Can't believe you'd disparage Dan Bejar like this

The score matters immensely for Pitchfork. They put it front and center; it's their calling card. A BNM from Pitchfork will make a band like Car Seat Headrest. If scores don't matter, then a site should eschew them, as several do.

While not a supergroup, they are parts of so many other bands. Easily my favorite Canadian band of that era, and I can't wait for their next release.

Sad prog is the best way to describe Krug's more ambitious work, thank you for bringing this term into my life

Whoa, really? Give it some more tries, the guitar writing will manifest itself beautifully. Not all the riffs need to greet you at the front door.

It was actually kind of hard to tell that from the review. I wish AV club would just drop grades altogether. They obviously distract from the content. There's so much in the review about how much of a challenge this album is, down to the praising of Burn the Witch as the best song as well as the most immediate. I

I bought it in the .WAV format and burned it to a CD to listen in my car. I have a great sound set-up at home so I'm happy to have digital, but I really like to have a CD for any album I own so that I can have a higher quality listen in my car. I'll pick up the CD on 6/17 and the LP will get mailed to me in 4 months.

Maybe a reviewer with more emotional fortitude should have reviewed this.

That's surprising. This album is loaded with Jonny's work, and Colin has his subtle bass ins-and-outs thing going strong as usual. This sounds worlds different from Tomorrow's Modern Boxes or The Eraser. I mean, Glass Eyes? How is that a Thom Yorke solo album type track?

Actually, this album has some of the best guitar writing on the 2000s. "You Go on Ahead" and "Dragon's Lair", as well as "Idiot Heart" all totally slay.

I think it's funny that so many articles talk about how everyone has short attention spans. I'm firmly in the millennial generation, but my favorite Pink Floyd album is Animals and I managed to get through a 14 minute Black Mountain song without a problem yesterday.
