Say what you want about the iQ. It's definitely not for everyone, but I own one (not my only vehicle) and I absolutely love it. Plan on keeping it for a long, long time. It's pretty much as fully loaded as you can get it, and the build quality has far exceeded my expectations. Very fun, it its own way, to drive. It's

I think that it looks pretty great. Are Jalopnik writers seriously complaining that an upmarket SUV has morphed into something resembling a wagon?

For a decent template, please refer to the Subaru Impreza and then remember that you have 10 times their R&D and parts-sharing abilities.

New Hotus: Add hightness

Thank you for that discovery Inspector Poirot.

A few tests found the car had as much lateral grip as a Ferrari 458, and was quicker around a road course than a new BMW or Mustang. Lago wants to make his '240SS' faster. I just want him to keep preaching its low weight, simple design ethos.

all salvaged title cars are to be avoided

What percentage is the lack of testicles?

I think I'm the only one sticking to the idea of $5k. The article says they'll expand the limit. But I think it's more interesting to keep the limit at $5k. Because unfortunately this whole QOTD gets mighty stale.

So your suggestion is 20x his budget...

Most of the engine isn't in front of the wheels. All of it is.
Even the flywheel is in front of the front axle.

Look at the engine in a Toyota GT4 and certain WRC Mitsubishi they leaned them back heavily to combat this, no matter how well the AWD system is it will not change the laws of physics.

The engine is not in front of the front axle. The Corvette has always been technically mid engine since the motor is between the axles. The idea is to find cars with the motor in front of the front wheels.

The C2 and all other vettes (besides the C1, I think) are front-mid engined, so they are not what this article is talking about.

?? I'm missing your point.

Audi 200.

Ignoring my cheeky Morgan comment, I've never driven a car more front-heavy than a 2001 Chevrolet Impala with the 3.7L V6. Terrible, terrible thing. (Photo doesn't do it justice, but the whole engine is really in front of the front axle.)

Most Audis have engines that jut way in front, causing catastrophic understeer. Does that count?

Audi S6 with the V10. That's a lotta engine in front of the wheels driving what is essentially a front-drive car.

Yeah, I'm going to go ahead and second the Audi. I once got into an approximately 10-15mph collision in my '10 A4. Engine slung out way in front of the axle = very VERY, expensive damage.
