Took the Miata up a traffic free Skyline blvd and enjoyed carving corners at ridiculous entry speeds. Although the tires are incredible, I miss being able to powerslide every u-turn :(
Sharing for those of you who appreciate beautiful cars along with an ugly GT40. Could someone please grant oppo authorship to corkscrew’d? Here is a photo of the ugly GT40 as tribute.
Had a little night time photo session for my beat up Honda. Props to my buddy Wayne aka “Corkscrew’d” on Oppo for making this thing look as good as it does here.
Was about to go on ramp to a hwy but a pedestrian was waiting to cross. Braked normally, maybe about 30% of max pressure, but the car behind me braked too late.
The beltline and cowl go up to other cars’ wheelarches and the roof is about as low as their beltline. The VTEC engine sings and is so happy to rev all the way past the redline up to 8k RPM. The ride and seating position is so comfy and plush that I can cruise for hours and want to cruise some more. The steering is…
So my new Prelude is back from service after $800 of little repairs like gaskets and seals and caps. The previous owner neglected a lot of maintenance but after this spruce up it no longer seems to leak oil and coolant.
The exterior condition is fair. But oh man it drives so well with the super light flywheel and short shifter. Drove 2 hours back late last night from Sacramento to Santa Clara. I could take the mountain curves on 680 at 90+ mph. The ATTS really, really makes a big difference. I now love torque vectoring differentials.…
I never wondered this before but I’m glad I found out. Will be hitting VTEC on the Prelude backwards.
In short, the new Miata was kind of fun but definitely nowhere near as good as an NA Miata.
I am calling upon the Oppo Hondabro hivemind. Help me decide between the two 90s sport coupes. I really want to own one of these Hondas before they get too old.
My mind is blown...the NB Miata beat the MR-S. The Miata even blew away the ITR. I really thought the lighter weight of the MR-S and superior MR layout would edge the Miata. They both had similar mediocre performance summer tires too, so it wasn’t even down to the tire. Just watch the video. The driving is tremendous.
So I recently got into Hondas after I’ve spent all my life brushing them aside as rice-mobiles for kids. I get the appeal, the 90s Honda anyway—willing engine, 5-speed manual, light weight, double wishbones all around—it’s just the perfect recipe for fun.
While searching for MR2 spyders and na 2nd gen MR2s, I came across this. It’s so beautiful, it’s like getting in a time machine and going back to the 80s except this time you have a back-up camera and bluetooth.
I’m now 25 and life is good. I’m thrilled with both my beautiful Miata and Veloster, my career...is maybe going somewhere, and I’m just living life and enjoying the ride. Post pics of your dream car that you’re pretty sure is no one else’s dream car.
First time I’ve ever seen one of these. Would trade.
I just looked at the Veloster Rally Edition post on the FP a year back and all I saw on the comments section were people saying negative things about the car. Anything from it is ugly, to stolen Ford paint, to “slow as hell”, to “boring to drive”.
Hit a bump on a corner...
