I don’t think 55+ years is too old for my pillow. It’s not down, but it is a feather pillow. Homemade by a friend of the family when I was four years old, actually cleaned a couple of decades ago, with the ticking replaced. Proud of it, as it weighs a ton, and I have won many a pillow fight with it. The trouble is,…

Former Columbusite here, but there is absolutely nothing wrong with Crew/whatever the hell they’re calling it now Stadium. Yeah, you can’t have Crew games while the State Fair is running (they both use the same parking), but other than that, it’s plain to me that this is simply extortion.
Sent this to my wife. She can’t find a Lynne & Company, but she can find a Lynne Company, but nothing that makes or sells sheets. No reviews. No answers to questions. She decided we didn’t need to be guinea pigs. Again.

Oh, fun! My identity has been stolen for a couple of years now (from the IRS hack, when somebody tried to file our taxes for us...), and then this spring somebody tried and tried to get some credit cards in my name. I don’t work, so it’s not like they really could get much credit unless my wife’s name was attached,…
This really depends on which state you are in. In Ohio, you are taught to pull into the intersection, always.

Hmmm. My best friend has a pony tail palm that he’s had for decades now at this point. It’s six feet tall, not including the pot.
In Florida, I’m not worried about earthquakes, as if we did have one happen, with all this sand, the house and everything else would just just get swallowed up. The water table is only a few feet deep here, also. I worry about hurricanes, which at least nowadays has some warning. I’ve only been in one earthquake that…
Wait, what? Cornbread stuffing uses milk? Is that in the cornbread or is it in the stuffing itself??? Turkey or chicken broth, yes. Milk???
Learned that when I was three, using my fingers to create the hole. I was told to stop doing that by my parents. Even after the exam, my parents didn’t believe that I needed glasses. But when I showed up at breakfast with them on the day after I got them, they knew that I needed them.
Oh, I’ll take apart anything that I don’t need to survive. And of course not everybody has my problem. But when they are as necessary as they are for me, if I have my plain pair and my prescription sunglasses, I’m still not going to sacrifice a pair until one of them is dead or I’m really, really hungry. But I’m good…
Funny, that’s what I’m currently using right now. My son gave it to me. My last keyboard, an MS 4000 started to have some keys stop working, a problem that I’ve had before, because the cats or I have managed to spill something into the keyboard, but not this time. At least it did work for two years. He had to type on…

How about I use them for what I usually use them for. To see. At -8.00 diopters (that’s high powered myopia for you, two recessive genes from my parents, since their eyesight was fine...), I’ve got about an inch from 4 inches in front of my nose which is how close to things have to get to see clearly without glasses…
This is a bad infographic. Not only do the $s in the breakdown make zero sense, nor does the notation (3.816,96, versus the American (which evidently isn’t where this is from) 3,8216.96, but the break down of healthcare costs has the Medical + Kids insurance at the Medicare 53.5% slice, and Medicare pointing at the…
Agreed. When my wife was working in Basel, Switzerland working as a consultant for, ta da!, a railroad company, I flew over to Paris (she normally flies in to Zurich) and took a train to Basel. Not understanding what I had to do at CDG (which was a CF for multiple reasons, chief among them was an asshole window seat…
Mine was beach themed with beach attire (everybody, guests included), and we were married on the beach. Plus, the dinner reception was actually before the actual ceremony (at sunset). So no problems there. Linen shorts, linen shirt, and sandals. Easy enough to deal with, for me. My wife wore a blue summer dress and…

I’ll second this one. Although I’m not really using any of my pipes for much right now, I’m rather glad that I didn’t go all whole hog in trying to filter a bunch of RSS. Most of mine were shopping things to try and pull the items that I was more concerned about from various feeds.
