i agree with your final analysis, but i disagree with how you got there. mcconnell and covington are two solid free agent signings.

what are you even talking about? you said the #1 > #3 foolishness, i just responded. my original post was a rhetorical question that implies that the sixers have a pretty good situation coming up in the next few years too. maybe you can point me to a post that i wrote that says anything different?

fair. i’m content with “we’ll see”.

i am also a lifelong sixers fan and i get your malaise, but all the arguments that are being made for boston can be similarly made for philly.

so the #3 pick this year is nothing? embiid is nothing? simmons is nothing? the lakers pick next year is nothing?

who’s the underrated free agent? al horford? cmon. embiid was a world beater while he was on the floor this year and there’s no reason to think that he’s greg oden. RoCo is a three and D wing that’s top 20 in RPM. these arguments that everyone makes about the Celtics never extend the same courtesies to the Sixers.

great talk

oh, shut up kid. you want to ignore that the celtics needed olynyk to go nuclear to even get to the conference finals, that’s fine. you want to ignore that the mighty celtics had a whopping point differential of 7 versus the sixers this year, fine. but let’s not act like they’re some powerhouse. they haven’t done shit

sorry, i totally see how that came off as antagonistic. i just meant that it seems we have to do that a lot in this climate.

so in your alternate world, making the playoffs every year and scoring a lot in every game is a knock on lebron? shut the hell up

sorry, the guy that you replied to. anyway, embiid was a world beater while he was on the court. yes, i understand that he has injury issues but we are talking about potential here. we don’t know for sure what simmons will be, but a 6'11 guy that can handle the ball and pass is never a bad thing.

the other guy that replied to you pretty much laid it out. celtics were fool’s gold this year. the #1 pick this year is fultz, a guard. a position at which boston is already stacked. gordon hayward isn’t putting them over the top. paul george is likely headed to LA.

doesn’t it seem strange to you that we have to double cross and point every t and i before we can call something out as wrong? i mean the picture was right there in The Root’s article.

we’ll see.

oh you mean what the author wrote in the article? good one!

i mean are the celtics really that much better positioned than the sixers?

the hilarious thing is that these guys sit up in their beds at night and congratulate themselves for doing something they think is incredibly Important. they fancy themselves martyrs for a cause. it’s sad.

did we expect anything different? nothing matters anymore.

yes the refs caused them to blow a 10 point lead
