So, could someone exaplin to me why backwards compatibility is a thing? I have consoles from the mid eighties I still use because...none of them were fucking backwards compatible, did people get this enraged when they found out the couldn't run N64 games on the Game Cube?

I still have an old VCR that looks more attractive than this.
