“Hillary Clinton (who is imperfect and corruptible but an competent and experienced center-left public servant)...”

If the emoyee does not like the way his or her name (not sure which from the article) is recorded, s/he will likely neednto legally change it - unless the software has some kind of aliasing capability, and even then, tax forms and other official documents are sent with ones legal name, for obvious reasons.

Actually, they could be setting up her arrest and prosecution as a season end cliffhanger... Doesnt help, much, does it?

Ever met someone suffering Lyme disease? I have. It is legit, and disabling to varying degrees. There is no controversey about this, ask any doctor. What is your issue?

Veteran here. You would be amazed at the lies people can tell themselves, and the ones that revolve around ‘honor’, at least in my experience (enlisted Marine), are effing insane.

USMC vet here. Sad to see nothing has changed in the 21 years since I took my DD214 and ran. This is why I tell my kids that military service, while honorable in theory, is a horrible idea, and if they want to serve their country (and everyone should, in some way), do charity work or run for school board or some such.

Much credit to this young woman and the high school that extended a hand to her.

I shudderred a little when you called it ‘culture’. I dont think the ball of phenomenon you are referring to rises to that level, or deserves the consideration of the title ‘culture’.

And she is a wicked guitarist and wrote some of their best songs.

Serious question: we are considering an all girls high school for our daughter. Were there any down sides?

If it works for both of you, you owe no one an explanation or justification. Be glad you have that friend!

I often tell myself that men and women are far more alike than different, until I read something like this - a really nice article by a woman about her female friends and the awesome bonds they share, and I realize no man I have ever known in my life would ever write such an article, nor have I ever encountered

I think it has to do with who stars or responds to you. I am always grey until someone replies or stars, then I am often but not always not grey.

And that is exactly it. Its a terrible dilemma, I cannot imagine how a woman would deal with it, and hence, I cant imagine presuming to tell her what to do. Get her the facts, provde her with medical care (for either option) and do what is needed so she can make a decision she can live with.

Thank you for the link - I did not think I was he only one to come up with this. Glad to have a reference. Too bad it is not cited in public discourse.

Ok, serious question that I never see addressed in abortion ‘discussions’.

The UK government, if memory serves, is allowed to negotiate bulk purchase of meds for the NHS. The USG is not allowed to do so.

The fix would be much more complicated than throwning more money at it- we already spend more per capita than anyone else.

No, but the costs are well distributed. None of health care is free, but the ‘market’ for drugs and services is so distorted that it is literally killing people.

His literature was torture for me, but that quote is spot on.
