Davin, our mechanic for these rebuilds, is a big Chevy guy. In fact, he pretty much dislikes all European and Japanese cars. But even he wants a Beetle after working on it and driving it around for a few days!

Movie magic is putting it lightly! šŸ˜†
Thatā€™s the beauty of time-lapse, though. We could pause in the middle of a shot, go to the parts store for a tool or part, come back and pick up where we left off! In some cases, one of those 2-3 second shots took us a whole day...

Uh... umm.... I mean, weā€™re professionals and itā€¦

Glad you like it! We use Kessler Craneā€™s TLS and Second Shooter system. Really easy to use and lots of fun. There are a bunch of other cool 3-axis rigs out there, too. Edelkrone and Syrp make decent ones.

Honestly, we have no idea what year it is. Ha! Itā€™s titled as a ā€˜72 but very well could be a ā€˜73. Itā€™s had so much work done on it and so many paint jobs that itā€™s hard to tell!
(Note: Iā€™m the guy at Hagerty that makes these videos.)

Iā€™ll admit to getting a good chuckle out of ā€œhAlfa Romeo.ā€ Then again, Iā€™m a dad and I love dad jokes....

Iā€™ve been hunting down my unicorn Previa for years. S/C All-Trac with a 5-speed manual. Someday!!

Iā€™ll save my money for an All-Trac Toyota Previa, thank you. Still, NP for a rust-free family hauler with AWD. There are plenty of families out there in need of cheap transportation in places where thereā€™s snow on the ground a few months out of the year.

Old All-Trac Corolla wagons are better.

I love that it says ā€œSCHWANZā€ right on tail. So good. For those of you who donā€™t speak German... well, just Google it...

Cā€™mon now... nobody here has run out of gas in a modern car? I call BS. Gauges can be ignored. Easily. For many reasons. I, for one, think Iā€™m pretty awesome when I manage to get to a gas station and put 17.3 gallons of gas in my 17-gallon tank. ;)

Iā€™ll make you your money back right now. $5k for the truck. :)

The day I realized my dad was way smarter and cooler than me:

Vertical video guy.

You mean like how on new Outbacks you have to basically remove a tire and the plastic wheel well just to change a freaking headlight?

Foresters and Outbacks are wagons. :)

Looks like itā€™s keeping up with the horrendous blind spots of the FJ Cruiser. I remember wanting one so bad when they first came out. Then I got in one and immediately was like, NOPE! Didnā€™t even take it for a test drive. You canā€™t see anything in that thing.

Came here to add what lots of others have said: they were travelling on an employee pass so the rules are different. My uncle was a pilot for United for 30 years. He gave us companion passes to come visit him. There were lots of dress rules: no sandals, no sneakers, shirt tucked in, collared shirt (for men), etc.

Nothinā€¦

Going to be listening to BBC 5 Radio for all NFL broadcasts from now on.
