I really love how this show doesn’t do the waiting game about superpower discovery arcs. That’s another one of its assets.

The earlier mention of Supergirl very much gave the impression that DC Comics exist as fiction in this show.
She’s not holding her breath, she’s just making a weird noise and they need to cut that shit out.
He didn’t shoot her eyemask. She is bulletproof when she holds her breath. The bullets were bouncing off all over her face.
The interplay between Anissa and Jennifer remains my most favorite thing about the show. Especially the mentioned scene where Jennifer shows Anissa the results of her Google search for Thunder.
I loved the whole family interactions but Jeff and Anissa partnership at crime fighting was the best. They have each other backs and appreciate each other skills. If they only learnt to wear gloves and not leave their fingerprints everywhere...
Yeah of all the people in that family, Anissa was the worst one to break the news to Jennifer.
Time Soulmates.
Not one comment about Ray’s PURE GLEE at putting a mystic totem in a nuclear reactor to see what happens?
This is the first time the Arrowverse has really delved in to Sara’s time as an assassin. Before it has been just something we know about her. Actually seeing her in LoA garb taking a life was a powerful visual.
It’s like Ray always says: happy captain, happy ship!
I love how the show understands all of its characters so well. The team members’ reactions to the “Nostromo protocol” lockdown were all perfectly in character. Wally thought he could fix it immediately just by being fast (wrong). Zari wanted to just get out of there (totally characteristically). Nate wanted to be a…
I’m pretty sure the Time Bureau has been wrecked to the point where it’s just Ava and Gary.
Legit squealed with joy when Constantine was shown playing D&D with Gary. Also that kiss? Whaaaaaaat. Even Ava looked mildly impressed.
Somehow it’s perfect that after a season of the other characters alternately dumping on Gary and humiliating Gary, John Constantine — arguably the coolest character in the Arrowverse — is the one to finally give him the time of day, even if he can’t exactly remember his name.
The fire totem may have permanently fixed the need for a gun at all.
“Bollocks!”
“What does that mean?”
“It’s a British expletive...”
Here’s a thought - what if Gary’s really rocking the Beebo socks because his family grew up worshipping the little blue bastard in secret?
It was actually a pleasant surprise that Constantine humored Gary throughout the case!
I’m definitely shipping Constantine and Gary after this. The look on Gary’s face after Constantine kissed him was the most adorable thing I’ve seen in a while and Constantine gamely joining in on his D&D session at the end was a nice mood lightener after that intense episode.
