A sad thing was that even tho the 101 concert was documented the film guy decided to focus on the fans & not the concert so there isn’t a full film of the concert. Which I guess makes sense back then but these days? Argh. That hurts.

There is definitely a parallel there that has been pointed out before. But it goes largely ignored sadly because of the celebrity of a lot of these men, and the money. They money definitely blinds them. Sometimes its almost a IDGAF if they use me as long as they pay me my millions attitude.

As a white dude, I’ve always been more than a little weirded out by the obvious parallels between the slave trade, and the buying and selling of (predominantly) black men to play a game to make some rich white dudes money.

Those who opposed Kaepernick’s kneeling protest against the killing of unarmed black men, women and children threatened to boycott games.

Priorities you know. Have to spread the love of Jesus by military might.

They are only happy with white players who express support for maga, like tom brady and his coach. Let a black man protest the killing of black bodies and all of a sudden.. we need our fans approval.

A lot of us tend to forget that the people that run some of these teams, from the owners on down to the coach and a lot of the fans are white, conservative and from the red part of the country. It speaks for itself with stuff like the team itself silencing support and fans up in arms.
