Oh, I like that explanation. Thanks! I always referred to my (dad’s side) family and myself as “Indian” growing up because...we just were (are). I don’t recall the “Native American” terminology being a thing when I was younger. My 20 y.o. daughter refers to that part of the family simply as “Native.”
