I loved the 2003 show and I like this version. The characters maintain their deep backstory but the entire premise is silly comic fun. Adult cartoon nerds can get really annoying and bitchy for no reason.
I think it boils down to people who find it loud, brash and irritating (Which, even as somebody who enjoys the show, readily admits it can be,) and the “fans” who think it is somehow displacing a serious, “real” DC animated series (Specifically Young Justice, which was cancelled just before TTG joined Cartoon…
