Yeah but The Wire is better than a lot of that “peak TV” you’re talking about. And I’m not even crazy about The Wire. But it’s pretty unique, and extremely “current”, whatever you define that as.

I gave up on Lost pretty early. But I loved every moment of The Leftovers. I wonder how many Lost fans actually watched The Leftovers. 

I get that, but the reality of peak TV keeps me plenty entertained with shows that are more current. I just think the endless AV articles about The Wire are hitting a saturation point.
