And now he has probably learned that being a murderous piece of shit also doesn't make up for your father being murdered.

I believe you also call the police so they can file an accident report
I have no idea, always perplexed there aren’t more fights given the number of shitfaced rednecks. It seems like they all feel like that they are part of a community or something. I don’t know, honestly.
The non-southern thing is not much of a thing anymore. Still a thing, just much less than pre-Jeff Gordon.
I don’t think the prayer is an issue, now this political prayer on the other hand...
Thinking you can sample every cuisine in the world in NYC is peak uncultured, peak untraveled. Do yourself a favor and see the rest of the country/world.
Only boring people get bored. And the music/sports complaints are pretty stupid. I’ll agree all three cities are limited on food (though certainly some great beer in Milwaukee and Charlotte actually, good bbq in Charlotte, good steaks in OKC - don’t know that city as well). As far as foreign cultures, if you actually…
I highly recommend Nashville for other people. My family lives there so...
To reasonably live in, OKC, Charlotte, Denver, Milwaukee, Nashville, Portland are all miles ahead on NY and LA. Even Chicago if you are so self-conscious about living in an important city as an unimportant person.
Decent college town (if you’re in college/grad school this is a good thing), but otherwise 100% agree
This is true, but the same could have been said about skinny David Robinson playing the weak Navy schedule against 6'4" centers. And plenty of 7-foot college players don't perform like Thabeet did, I'll go back to Favors as an example. Also Skal Labisierre this year.
Favors is not a total bust, no. The reason he's a good example is there were two guys on the board in Cousins and Monroe who were very good/great college players and the only reason Favors got picked ahead of them was that marginally better athleticism you were talking about. And now obviously Cousins is far better…
Not their first pick, but he is a classic 6ers pick
It actually is quite relevant when you are talking about the 6ers and tanking for draft position. And honestly if you extend it to top-10 picks you are talking about probably the majority of starters in the NBA. I’d guess every or almost every team in the league has at least 3 former top-10 picks.
Detroit, Dallas, and Boston all win titles without a superstar drafted in the top-5, in the last 15ish years. I agree it’s a star league, but not all stars are top picks and certainly not all top picks are going to take you anywhere, for a number of reasons (underperform, get hurt, play same time as Jordan, etc.).
But they didn’t fail so long they had to create the euphemism of the “process.” Tanking, or rebuilding, should be a one-year event (maybe two in extreme circumstances, but even then you should see some semblance of growth in year 2). Spending years rebuilding or tanking just means you suck and should feel bad about…
Thabeet was a very good college player. I don't disagree with your post, but Derrick Favors is the name I'd go with (also there was no one to pick over Thabeet at his position, Favors was picked over Cousins and Greg Monroe).
Another problem is that even if he does draft the next great player, that player will be coming into a terrible situation, worse than what Anthony Davis has come into, which would risk said player developing poorly and/or leaving the 76ers ASAP. And if it doesn’t work out you just wasted 3-4 years for a chance at a…
So it doesn’t necessarily have to clear the outfield fence? It could bounce off a player in deep left-center in fair territory and go over the wall in foul territory and it’s a HR? Interesting.
