Counterpoint: we give Israel millions (billions?) of aid money (taxpayer money) with stipulations that they use that money to buy American weapons. So without knowing the ally, in theory it could have been taxpayer money.

I thought they don’t actually pay the money, they just take a salary cap hit. It sounds like it’s all accounting at this point.

Nor that he’s guilty, but that’s the nature of settlements with non-disclosure agreements.

Edit: I’m an idiot - it seems like they don’t pay Osweiller actual money, it just gets put on their books for accounting/salary cap purposes. If that’s the case, it does make sense. However as a Tennessean, the entire Haslam family is still a bunch of assholes.

Loving baby Bush and stating that in comparison to DT he doesn’t seem that bad are two different things. Though both are wrong and he was a fuck up that got us into a trillion dollar war that we’re still seeing the effects of.

My wife dd’s the outback with the same (or similar) CVT. It’s the complete opposite of fun, but it’s not rubber-bandy and gets the job done. It has very poor low-end acceleration, however it somehow is very peppy once up to speed.

This was a good read at hits home with my adventure last night on my water pump. 11pm on a Tuesday is a good time to do a coolant flush and replace a water pump, right? I figured it’d be a 3-4 hour job and I’d get some sleep before going to work today.

Having a current, shitty finance class in school isn’t a reason to not have financial education at all. It means the course needs to be improved.

Stupid, lazy trust-fund kids.

True, that’s who taught me financial responsibility. What though of the kids whose parents do payday loans and buy laptops on rent-to-own policies? Having a financially educated youth is a benefit to all of us as a nation and - considering how many kids have financially-illiterate parents - I would argue that it’s an

This is a blog, not the news.

This worries me about side view mirror “blind spot warnings” aka orange lights. People are definitely going to assume no light = no car, and then one day they’re going to change lanes and run over a motorcycle because they couldn’t turn their neck to check the blind spot.

The benefit is that you can read, sleep, listen to podcasts, etc. on the train, whereas when you’re driving you can only do one of those things.

That sounds stupid and dangerous. If they are doing a few over the limit, sure - but don’t go 90 on the highway or 45 down a surface steet without sirens or lights.

El Salvador, simply based on the “robbed at gunpoint” part.

like what?

I would guess his rationale behind “all women can afford birth control” is that every woman can afford to not have sex.
