Daily Kos isn’t a good source. They try to be inflammatory instead of factual. In this case, they haven’t bothered to fact-check or vet the outside source of that claim. Additionally, the original claim is hypothetical and does not use any medical data.
Two primary reasons I can think of why they do not embrace digital. 1.) Their congregation is older and unlikely to embrace it, 2.) internet tends to be shoddy in most rural areas.
If you were so open-minded, this wouldn’t bug you. Religion is clearly not for everyone, but it also clearly helps millions of people live happier lives. You don’t have to participate in it if it’s not for you, but that does not mean you should put others down for doing something that does not affect you.

Big fan of Harrison Ford, but Indiana Jones is like America’s James Bond and the role should have been given to someone else once Harrison stopped doing them after the original trilogy.
There’s always talk of Ford being too old. Part of me feels that it’s Spielberg who may have aged out. There’s a spark and attention to detail in his older films... that seems to be less present now.
