I believe that is Rev. Darrell Scott. Remember him? He was the pastor who told Trump (back in Feb 2017) that Chicago gang leaders wanted to work w/ Trump to fight crime and lower the body count, only to backtrack immediately and claim he had only talked to one former gang member and that it was fatigue and jet lag

I’ve been calling him Reverend Pumper....some folks get it, some don’t lol

There’s a line from Dave Chappelle’s acceptance speech* for the Mark Twain Prize for Humor that’s stuck with me since hearing it, and which comes to mind right in this moment: “sometimes you have to be a lion so you can be the lamb you really are.”

Indeed. I note that the usual pack of trolls who show up for all the Arbery posts are staying away from this one. I wonder why? I suppose they feel it’s self-evident that they know more about Georgia law than someone with this resume:

Thanks for this. It’s good to get an authoritative explanation of the actual Georgia law from someone who has actual experience doing it.

Thanks for this. It’s good to get an authoritative explanation of the actual Georgia law from someone who has actual experience doing it. A friend of mine is a Georgia criminal defense attorney, and he told me much the same thing as here.

Looks like he got recalled to the Corporate Office.

You poor humorless sod.

Hey, everybody is dead but me, I must be immune.”

Well, thank you for your expert opinion, person who walks past black people.

You could have just stayed off this article and obsessively refreshed whatever news website you use, instead of deciding to be such a pathetic scold about an interesting and informative article. Go work on your sourdough starter and yell at your family.

There’s one unique group that receives disproportionate attention to their hair and one group that places a disproportionate cultural significance on their hair. And that’s black people, the people who this article is about. If you only want to read covid-19 articles about death tolls and Trump being an incompetent

Interestingly, Jezebel has done pieces about anti-Asian racism, including one by the writer of this article. Curious why you’re framing it as an either/or situation when you can clearly find those articles at this site.

At times I also feel overwhelmed about all the things I’m “supposed to care about.” That’s when I remind myself it’s the creators’ job to create content and I can’t fault them for doing their job. And that maybe it’s time for me to get off the internet for the day.

my partner who is black is enjoying letting her hair just do what it wants to do while experimenting with home made deep conditioners and moisturizers. At the same time i think if she had to go into work, she would feel differently.

Over a minute...it took over a minute before I got it.

Shame.

Take your damn star.

Re:exercise. I’m finding this is a good time to experiment with programs I never considered before. Yoga. Tai Chi. Balance movements like trying to do handstands. Thanx, YouTube!
