Mmm. Dogleg transmissions give me the fizz.

A few months ago, I parted out my old WRX. Some of the buyers were perfectly normal, reasonable people. Most, though, were some of the most obnoxious flat-brimmed vapebros I’ve ever dealt with. Probably less than 1/4 of them showed up at the meeting place on time, or even less than half an hour late. Stereotypes exist

I still have that Porsche, by the way. I don’t think I could ever sell it.

Every single car I’ve ever owned (up until the WRX).

The timing of this article is really funny. My 944 is on its last legs and I just contacted a guy on Craigslist about a Miata.

Why? He’s got a point. It’s a proper noun.

How is a MKIII NA automatic Supra even remotely worth 15k? I bought one in 2012 for less than $4k with a 5-speed. Slightly higher mileage, but still under 100k. Maybe I should’ve kept it.

I’m judging you for putting all season tires on a sports car.

Looks like ze Germans won’t be invited to Thanksgiving dinner anymore.

This is some of the pettiest crap I’ve ever seen a professional journalist pull. “Bad commenters” = “Those who dare question our decisions”

Did they seriously grey you for that? That’s messed up.

I’ve got a thing for black on grey. I pushed it dangerously close to $80k, though. Couldn’t help myself.

I got mine 5 years ago for $2k, Fuchs included. Now the wheels themselves are approaching that price. Maybe it’s not such a money pit after all :)

Stef, if it weren’t for you, I probably never would’ve held onto my 944 for so long. It’s a deteriorated money pit that’s spent more time on jack stands than on the road, but every time I think of selling it, I read one of your articles and change my mind. Then I start browsing Rennlist classifieds instead...

Hey, whatever happened to Freddy’s 944 turbo? He talked about it a bit at around 13:00, but unless I missed something, we haven’t heard anything else about it since he bought it.

I’ve had my WRX for almost 2 years now. No one’s ever tried to get me to race them. Maybe it’s a regional thing. WA seems to have a fairly low rate of dudebros per capita.

Ye Olde Motoring Chaps

maybe not the brightest bulb pulp in the taillight

Most of the houses here in Seattle don’t even have garages. If they do, they’re detached and ridiculously tiny. It’s frustrating.

Seattlite here. Ravenna neighborhood. My car isn’t even that nice (2008 WRX with plenty of existing chips and dings), but I pony up the $125/month for covered, assigned parking in my apartment building just for the convenience. Street parking on my block is stressful on a good day, impossible on a bad one. I imagine
