Except Cyberpunk sold over 13 million copies (refunds excluded) within the first two weeks and has since sold over 20 million. It’s on track to surpass Witcher 3's lifetime sales in a much shorter time span.

Anyone who uses the term “woke” to downplay something has typically been unable to actually give me a definition of what the word even means. They just don’t like it, so therefore it’s “woke”.
This world is becoming dumber, I swear..
Spidey still being shackled to Sony is hilarious. Good riddance to this dumpster fire of a game.
Interesting. So Bungie wasn’t working on their next game before being acquired by Sony? Because Bungie’s next game will most certainly not be on Xbox. Also, why is FF7 Remake not on Xbox even though the FF7 Crisis Core remake is? It’s almost like Sony paid Square to cancel the Xbox version of FF7 Remake.
You don’t think Sony paid for timed/permanent exclusivity deals with FF7 Remake and FF16? Well, let’s check their recent release history:
FFXVI? The FF franchise and Japanese developers historically have favored PS over Xbox given that Xbox doesn’t exist in Japan. Short of evidence that Sony required or forced this somehow that’s a publisher-level decision.
I noticed it a lot in Ragnarok and was kind of annoyed the amount it happened. At the time I figured it was due to it being on ps4 as well or that it was because it was developed a lot during the pandemic and concessions had to be made. Now that I know the actual reason I am even more annoyed lol.
Fun Fact! The GoW Ragnarok devs said that they actually didn’t need wall cracks, despite them being all throughout the game. Apparently the cracks are used as gating to ensure that a player stays in a certain area for puzzle elements or landmarks to create a mental map of what zone connects with which.
Neat story, but…
Do not underestimate the power of Playstation exclusivity deals.
Seamlessly moving between combat and cutscenes? Oh you mean like many games have done for 2 console generations already?
After having spent a couple months with the Steam Deck, I find that I’m not a big believer in... this iteration, at least. Don’t get me wrong, they’re nifty, but I always run into the same issue: games run at well below desired performance. Obviously, this is a handheld PC, so... you know, limitations are going to…
The issue is the exact same issue as any game with relationships you can grow: you are ALWAYS given this sort of option:
The thing that gets left out with this take is that it exists within a larger context.
FWIW, King makes more money annually than Blizzard. I think core gamers often sleep on the ridiculous mobile money included in this deal.
IMO, Justin Roiland basically IS those two main characters - to the point that it doesn’t make sense to recast them with someone who sounds close, much less dead on to him. I would imagine that the last thing Adult Swim wants is to air a show starring someone who sounds just like an alleged domestic abuser and child…
Oh, I honestly only got it when I read this.
I had a hell of a time trying to parse the headline before realizing “kicked off Sundance” meant she started the event and not that she had been removed from some kind of panel or something at Sundance because of her comments.
There are always collaborators and bootlickers who think ingratiating themselves with management will make them of the elite, so I’m not surprised the statement “resonated” for a few.
Maybe I was just inexperienced and naive, but it seems to me like nowadays being in charge, being at the top is completely disconnected from accountability (even in the most capitalist sense of it) and imputability.
If you’re an executive, you’re in charge of what happens at your company. You can’t take the big 1% checks without also taking the responsibility.
