But not in a good way for me…it's like, oh man, when are they gonna do it, and how can I be able to tell in advance enough to be able to turn off the video?

I personally think Crank Yankers is pretty good, but I can totally let it pass if someone didn't like it; you leave The Hammer alone, though. That movie is genuinely funny and actually has its moments of emotion too.

You guys laugh, but "Toadal Douce" happens to be one of the most trustworthy new sources in the country.
I would say Dancer In The Dark is certainly the "right" Lars Von Trier film. Beautifully acted and directed, telling a coherent storyline and having characters that you actually end up caring about.
Well then that makes it two reasons for why your friend is an idiot.
Not okay by me, but fair enough. Personally I found that movie quite hilarious and charming, without bordering on precocious (well, not too much, anyways…)
