I feel you on Pontypool. I was actually, genuinely a little bit angry when I realized they'd stuck me with yet another zombie pile after wheeling out a concept like that, one that seemed to beg for a little more subtle attention paid to who tripped on what words and why, or at least an ending that questioned whether

I'm not totally sure that a scene where no one believes a woman has been raped lacks subtext.

^I agree with this guy. Up to that point, I'd have even called it a good movie.

Fuck this show for idolizing these thugs.

…the way I would characterize Doctor Who watchers is that they don't know when to stop putting bumper stickers on their VWs

Sure, I'll watch this dog wearing people clothes.

They want some of that sweet, sweet Mothra money before people start saying, "I'm not so sure about this fifth Mothra movie"

Ring charts?

So the Harry Potter jelly beans tasted bad but had a gimmick to sell them, while these jelly beans just plain taste bad? What's the hook?

Here's my impression of the things from The Descent *curls up fingers in monster claws* Bleh!!! Blehhh!!!!!! I vant a spring vater from zie crafts table!

From what you've told me, the part where it gets taken over by other people.

Well, in that case I guess the guy just sucks out loud. Thanks for clearing that up.

In my opinion, that's what got burned on Ren & Stimpy when he went off the leash. The gold from the early years was stuff like the episode where Ren is going to die, and of old age, and no punch is pulled, really. That episode haunted me as a young child, and I loved it.

Or donate for him to not make one, in this case.

I have a bone to pick with this Simpson guy.

I gave a flip response below, but I think it also has a lot to do with how Americans descended from Europeans lack the cultural context that people have back in the homeland with their various crumbling castles and monasteries, or at least buildings that are noticeably where those things used to be. Americans don't

It's not a hard question to answer, and the answer is white guilt.
