The registry has a ton of problems. If a 18 year old can sleep with a consenting 16 year old and end up on the same list as a serial rapist, the list is pretty much useless.

I think that’s a great point. If the argument is that the behavior has a negative affect on the kids, it doesn’t really matter whether he’s in character or not. He’s modeling this behavior for them, genuine or fake.

The difference here is how you’re presenting your work to the public. If it’s presented as artistic fiction, then it’s fair game to say that it may not represent you as a person.

This is just not true. Evicting Jane and her kids isn’t going to stop the violence, it’s just going to move it somewhere else and endanger the people there instead of here. There’s no reason to think that these laws would protect anyone.

Missouri can have fun losing this lawsuit. There’s no way that a law like this will stand up in court.

Basically, this article is really poorly written. Half of the information is missing. I read the information file released by the police department and it makes more sense now.
