Uh not really no. Texting definitely still uses a unified protocol across the carriers. It may just be data once it gets into carrier pipes, but it’s still built on a unified standard outside of those pipes for the purposes of this conversation.

So this suggests to me that it’s just a very throttled free version of their wifi that’s been locked down to very specific ports. That’s the only way specifying a platform makes sense.
I can’t imagine it’s true on more than the most basic level. There should be a closer relationship between teams on the pixel, so they should be able to use the API better. The assistant team can also make changes to the assistant to facilitate any particularly ambitious features the phone team might have in mind.
The problem is that nobody starts answering those questions without pressure. That’s why all these bans have been announced for 25+ years from now. As we get closer they could extend those deadlines several times, but they’ve got to lay down SOMETHING to put the pressure on.
Why do we lower the flag to half mast when something bad happens? Why not lower some other object?
I played around with my Toyota floor mat and I actually did find that it was weirdly easy for it to wedge under the brake enough to change how it behaved (I did this in park in a driveway, don’t worry).
I have my plants’ grow-lights set to turn on and off with sunrise and sunset. This means that they’ll experience normal night lengths and bloom at the right time.
When I think about all the shitwads of people I’ve known, and then I imagine them with CTE on top of that, hoo boy that does not sound good.
It’s not a “technicality,” it’s a very important check on the government’s incentive to kill prisoners before a civil trial.
And in the really pricey gyms, sometimes you DO see a cable box at every treadmill.
The point of his claim was that they haven’t seen saltwater, which is still true. So you’re right in a way. Enjoy that. But you’re not being helpful to the actual conversation.
Fucking runners.
The narrative is fucked up. The lawyer is doing their legal duty and they’d be disbarred if they didn’t throw everything they’ve got at it. It’s the system’s job to shoot the argument down. It is not the job of the defense to shoot it down in advance. If we don’t want these arguments to be made, we need to make them…
It’s easiest to back up and say “both of these things are true and that’s fine”
I think actually we need to be clearer with people that EVEN IF THEY ARE INTO YOU they aren’t required to act on that or give you anything.
Hurricanes are complicated three-dimensional structures with layers moving at different speeds, at different temperatures, etc. Structures that are useful to measure are sometimes shrouded in clouds.
Aliens. Still. Have. A. Right. To. Due. Process. Motherfuckers.
If only we were commenting beneath a story about a long writeup on the subject replete with links.
Because a law says that it is.
This is my speculation as well, fwiw. It’s pretty likely he’s in this for the wrong reasons, just there’s still a little room for him to be communicating badly though. I think he gets to prove himself to be the asshole with whatever he says next after the letter writer reads this, you know?
